Announcements:
Discussion Topics:
1. UUCC Changes—Changes and action follow.
a. New course title changes: Math 1030, Math 2030, Math 3030, Math 3040, EE 4430, and Mathematics minor for Middle Level Teachers. Motion by Rob and second by Abulkhair to approve changes. Motion carried.
b. New course description changes: Math 3040, Math 3130, Math 3730, Math 4040, CEE 2120, CEE 2630, CEE 3030, CEE 3150, CEE 3340, CEE 3530, CEE 3730, CEE 4100, CEE 4160, CEE 4300, CEE 4330, CEE 4400, CEE 4410, and CEE 4550. Motion by Max and second by Phil to approve changes. Motion carried.
c. Natural Science changes: Phil presented changes to the Natural Science minor requirements. PhysSc1150 would be offered to fulfill requirement. There was also some addition and deletion of Geology courses. Physics 1040 Conceptual Physics would be dropped. PhysSc 1150 has a course title change. The General Science minor has been changed to Broadfield Science. This would replace the 24 credit minor with two concentrations or one minor. Discussion followed. Kurt motion to accept and Sam seconded motion. Motion carried.
2. Graduate Courses
a. JIM—Rob reviewed graduate level courses offered for this program. Discussion followed. All courses are within the computer science program. Max motion and Phil second. Motion carried.
b. ME—The MOE course Systems Engineering Management course was presented. Rob motion and Abulkhair second. Motion carried.
3. Department Representatives—Lisa requested that the department or program representatives for the Employer/Alumni Survey be designated so that we can schedule time over the semester break to complete this project.
4. Other—MCS has requested volunteers to assist with Pathways to Platteville. Mesut indicated that he would do November 14.
There will be an Executive Council meeting next week to finish up the UUCC changes.
