PeopleSoft access will require a minimum of a l33 mH Pentium, 32 megs of RAM and Windows 95 or NT. e. AutoCad was discussed. There is no cost for software, and the release date is estimated to be July 8. The upgrade will not be smooth, especially if there is a simultaneous upgrading of Windows. Version 14 should run faster. Summer workshops are being developed on Mechanical Desktop, AutoCAD and 3-D Studio. f. A discussion was held on the distribution of the College Strategic Plan. The original intent was to mail the plan to co-op employers and employers of graduates; however, it was felt that the plan should be distributed in face-to-face meetings with industry personnel rather than being mailed. Selected employers will be sent a copy, and all EMS faculty and staff have received copies. g. An enrollment update for new freshman admits for EMS as of May 1, 1997 revealed an 8 percent decrease. Transfers were up 3 percent. The phone calls have generated a more accurate picture of admitted students. A recruiting plan is currently being circulated. h. R. Shultz stressed that the new catalog should include goals, objectives and assessment for ABET purposes. The Fact Sheets could also include these same goals and objectives with a uniform format. J. Wilson indicated that she did not have a chance to read the catalog copy a second time, so there may be errors. I. J. Krogman reported that General Engineering has 15 sections uncovered for the fall: GE 102, 213, 263 and 282. These needs should be considered as new faculty are hired and teaching assignments are finalized.
