Preliminary discussions were that Web pages considered to be college-wide pages would be the r esponsibility of A. Thomas and any student help he hired out of college funds. Suggestions/changes for these pages would be submitted to A. Thomas. It was felt that the image of the college for marketing and recruitment purposes necessitated a minimal annual update of the college Web pages. Each department or program would be responsible for their own home page using their Webmaster(s). A final policy with a list of Webmasters will be submitted at a later date. Any changes to the W ebmaster list should be submitted to Judy. b. Two departments--Civil and Environmental Engineering and Chemistry and Engineering Physics--will be conducting elections for a new chair. A discussion was held on whether or not new program coordinators should be elected. At the current time, the College of EMS is the only college paying additional salaries to program coordinators. The Dean proposed that the College have a program coordinator for each degree program in additi on to a department chair. The department chair would receive summer session money. Program coordinators would receive release time. Reactions to this proposal should be communicated to the Dean. c. DIN proposals for 1997-98 were distributed and reviewed. The Dean will prepare a prioritized list to be reviewed by the Council. d. Summer session salaries will be discussed at the next meeting.
