Dr. Mesut Muslu, P.E.
Dr. Mesut Muslu earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Ankara, Turkey, a Master of Science in Engineering Management, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering both from the University of Missouri-Rolla. His areas of professional interest are in multi-objective optimization systems, economic operation of electric power systems with environmental constraints, power electronics, renewable energy systems, and engineering education.
Dr. Muslu has been a faculty member in the Electrical Engineering Department at UW-Platteville for over 28 years and served as department chair for 10 of those years. He was involved in establishing the Collaborative Engineering Programs and Renewable Energy Minor at UW-Platteville and served as the coordinator of Collaborative Engineering Programs for two years. He has been active in the university serving on many committees including Faculty Senate, Academic Planning Commission, Budget Commission, and Undergraduate Curriculum Committee.
Dr. Muslu is a member of numerous professional organizations and is a registered professional engineer in the state of Wisconsin.
