Conditional Admission

General Information

Students must submit an English Language Program (ELP) application and required documents.

Admission to the degree program is conditional until students reach the required level of English proficiency through successful completion of the ELP, as determined by grades earned in ELP coursework, achievement tests and instructor recommendations.  Students who are conditionally admitted to UW-Platteville may need to spend more than one semester in the ELP. 

ELP Admission Requirements for Students Seeking Conditional Admission

Students must submit the following items with their application:

  • Minimum TOEFL score of 45 (iBT)/450 (PBT) or a minimum IELTS score of 4.5
  • Documentation of completion of secondary school/high school
  • UW-Platteville Financial Verification Form
  • Bank Statement
  • Copy of Passport

The priority deadlines for submitting the ELP application and the processing fee are:
