There are two ways to apply to the English Language Program (ELP):  General Admission and Conditional Admission.

General Admission

General Admission to the ELP is for students who want to enroll into the ELP program only, and not into a degree program at UW-Platteville.

Successful completion of the ELP will prepare students to study at an English speaking academic institution.  Upon completion, interested students will apply separately to the academic institution of their choice.

Conditional Admission

Conditional Admission is for academically eligible students who want to enroll into a degree program at UW-Platteville, but do not meet English language requirements.  Qualified students are accepted into the ELP and conditionally accepted into their desired undergraduate or graduate degree program.

Upon successful completion of the ELP, students will transition into their degree program at UW-Platteville after submitting an undergraduate or graduate application and paying the application fee.
