Text Box: A Presentation by Nathan Torgerson on Medical Electronics

Former EE grad Nathan Torgerson is the 2006 UWP outstanding alumnus award recipient. He is currently working on the field of medical electronics. Nathan come back to UWP in December 2006 with his family members. He was impressed by the new lab equipments EE department has purchased in recent years. He also showed interests in some of the student projects when touring the lab with his family. Nathanís achievement in industry was recognized in the 177th commencement ceremony held on Dec. 16, 2006.

Nathan received his bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from UWP in 1992. He worked in the Medtronic neurological division, where he now works as a senior principal systems engineer. He shared his industry experience with the EE students and faculty at an IEEE seminar. Nathan also introduced the latest technology used in treating neurological disorders such as Parkinson's Disease.
