Julie Phillips has taught in the School of Education at UW-Platteville for almost fifteen years. She has been involved with the Special Education program at UW-P in various capacities throughout the years. She was an initial coordinator on campus in 1993 of Project CERTIFY. This program was a state initiative to certify Emergency Licensed Teachers in Special Education. She has also worked with many teachers in the area through Project SELECT. Beginning in 2001, she helped develop, launch and administer the UW-P Cross-Categorical program. In addition, Julie has been involved in the Counselor Education program and Ethnic/Gender studies on campus.
Julie and her husband, Cal, live near Platteville. They have three children, ages thirteen, eleven and nine.
