Dr. Rea Kirk is a professor of special education. Her doctorate is in educational leadership. She has worked with every grade level from kindergarten through graduate school and has experience with students with every major disability except for those who are blind or have low vision. This is her eleventh year at UW-Platteville and she loves it here! She has been a classroom teacher, a resource room teacher, and a school administrator. In addition, she has done respite care in her home. She serves on the executive board for the WI Council for Exceptional Children. Her most recent research has focused on parents who have children with disabilities and their perceptions of the educational system.
Rea has 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
