Q: Three years of experience is required upon entering the Educational Administration Program. Would I be able to apply and be considered for the program if I’m just starting my third year?

Q: If I already have a Master’s degree in school counseling, would I be able to have a number of credits transferred into the program?
A: We run the program as a strict cohort requiring all candidates to enroll and earn all 24 credits for certification, no transfer of credits will be accepted for the certification.
Q: Will I receive a certification form in place of a diploma?
A: Once you have completed the requirements of the program you will be endorsed for a license as a K-12 principal.
Q: The website lists three Prerequisites. Are you asking me to write down my experience in a letter?
A: Yes, a letter of your experiences should be sent along with a copy of your teaching/counseling license.
Q: Would I be able to get licensure in both Iowa and Wisconsin through your program?
A: Yes, upon completion of our 24 credit program you will be qualified for endorsement in the state of Iowa.
Q: For the self-reflection essay of competency in the knowledge, skills, and dispositions of the ten Wisconsin Standards for Teaching Development; would my self-reflection essay look different or is everyone required to write on the Wisconsin Teaching Standards?
A: We require that you respond to the Ten Teaching Standards. You will find that the Iowa and Wisconsin are just about identical. Please keep in mind that a principal is an instructional leader and that is why we require you to reflect and write the narrative related to the teaching standards.
