Dr. Patrick Hagen teaches intercultural communication and action research within UWP’s ELL Certificate Program. Dr. Hagen assisted in the development of the program.

Dr. Hagen earned his Ph.D. in German cultural studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has taught German language, literature, and culture at UW-Platteville for the past eleven years. He also teaches the methods course for world languages and an introductory course in intercultural communication. Professor Hagen is an active member of the Wisconsin Association of Language Teachers (WAFLT) and served on its Executive Board from 2003-2005.

Patrick Hagen lives with his three children, August, Nikolai, and Franccesca in Mineral Point, Wisconsin.
