  • $6,990 for Wisconsin Residents, Minnesota Residents, and Students from Co-Op Institutions

Spring 2016 Out-of-Pocket Costs Include
  • U.S. Passport ($135)
  • Airfare (estimated at $1,800)
  • Accommodation (Homestay estimated at 371,360 yen, International House single room estimated at 215,900 yen, International House double room estimated at 105,800 yen) to be paid upon arrival in Japan
  • Accommodation utility fees in the International House (estimated at 5,000-8,000 yen per month for a single room, 3,000-6,000 yen per month for a double room)
  • Meals not included with accommodation (Homestay estimated at 84,000 yen for the term, International House food service estimated at 20,000 yen per month)
  • Local transportation
  • School supplies and books (estimated at 10,000 yen)
  • Laundry (Homestay laundry is included, International House laundry estimated at 14,400 yen for the term)
  • Additional travel and personal expenses (will vary based on students’ spending habits, travel plans during breaks, etc.)
