If you do not meet the traditional admission requirements at the time of your graduation from high school, you may be considered for admission on an individual basis.
To apply for admission, you must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.00, plus good standing at the university most recently attended. If your GPA is less than 2.00, you will be considered for admission if more than five years have elapsed since you last attended school. You must petition in writing for an exception to the required five-year lapse of time. If you were on probation at the last institution that you attended, five years must have elapsed since the probationary status.

A matriculated student is an individual who intends to earn a degree from the institution at which he or she is taking course work. A matriculated student must apply and be accepted into the University of Wisconsin-Platteville before he or she may register for courses. Matriculated students are assigned to work with an academic advisor.
If you fit into the matriculated student classification, complete and print the Application for Undergraduate Admission. Mail it to:

Contact your high school(s) of attendance, and all schools attended since high school and have them forward transcripts directly to the UW-Platteville Distance Learning Center (have them sent to the address above). Your high school transcript must show your graduation date and high school rank at the time of graduation. Transcripts must come directly to the UW-Platteville Distance Learning Center from the issuing institution.
If you received a GED certificate, contact the Department of Public Instruction in the state where the GED was granted and ask the office to forward an official copy of your scores to the UW-Platteville Distance Learning Center. In Wisconsin, this address is:

If the school where you took your GED test is a licensed state office, it may forward an official copy of your scores to the UW-Platteville Distance Learning Center.
The Distance Learning Center will mail your transcript evaluation results approximately four weeks after it has received all required transcripts. The evaluation will tell you which courses transfer to UW-Platteville and what course work you need to complete to receive the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. You may want to check with the Distance Learning Center about two weeks after you have requested transcripts to make sure all of your transcripts have been received.
Along with the transcript evaluation results, you will receive information on how to be assigned to an academic advisor. Your advisor will help you determine in which courses you should register, your course delivery format (print or online), and course sequencing.
