Textbooks for ONLINE Courses
You must have your textbook(s) before your online course starts. Textbook costs are not included in tuition and fees. Financial Aid is not disbursed until after the start of classes so those funds will not be available in time for you to purchase textbooks.
UW-Platteville’s official textbook provider for online courses is MBS Direct. Please remember that although you can order from a different vendor, UW-Platteville isn't responsible for those purchases. To ensure that you purchase the correct textbook, search vendor sites using the ISBN number and verify the title, author, and edition. Don't order the international edition of your course textbook. While it might be cheaper, it won’t be compatible with your courses.

Textbooks for PRINT-BASED Courses
You are expected to purchase or otherwise obtain your textbooks. Textbook costs are not included in tuition and fees. Financial Aid is not disbursed until after the start of classes so those funds will not be available in time for you to purchase textbooks.
You will find textbook information for print-based courses in your course manual. A Distance Learning Textbook Order Form will also be included with your course materials with instructions for purchasing your textbook(s) from the UW-Platteville University Bookstore. You can order your textbook from a vendor of your choice. However, course manuals are written for a specific textbook edition. To ensure that you purchase the correct textbook, search vendor sites using the ISBN number and verify the title, author, and edition. Don't order the international edition of your course textbook.
