Professional Experience
Borke is a professor of accounting at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. He has been a recipient of UW-Platteville’s Excellence in Teaching Award. Before coming to Platteville, he taught at Northern Illinois University and also worked as a staff auditor with KPMG Peat Marwick.
Borke has written distance learning study guides and designed online courses for the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and the University of Wisconsin-Extension. He has been a contributing author for many CPA review texts, most recently two volumes of “CPA Exam Review 2006,” published by John Wiley and Sons in 2005.
He is also a contributing author for several editions of “GAAP: Interpretation and Application,” published annually by John Wiley. He has assisted Don Kieso, Jerry Weygandt, Paul Kimmel, Terry Warfeild, John Wiley, and other authors in the production of numerous editions of almost a dozen different accounting textbooks.
