Professional Experience
Melbard is an electrical engineer at We Energies in the Distribution Protection and Reliability Group. He provides protection design and support for the distribution system.
He is currently researching the application of Monte Carlo simulation and stochastic optimization tools to manage various utility programs, including a reliability-centered forestry program.
Personal Information
Besides teaching and working as a full-time engineer, Melbard enjoys working with computers, traveling, and rock-climbing.
