Masters Certificate in Project Management

Completion of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Masters Certificate in Project Management Program equates to 6 graduate credits in the UW-Platteville Master of Science in Project Management program, under the following stipulations:

1. These credits are acceptable only under the Credit For Life Experience Policy at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
2. The University of Wisconsin-Madison Masters Certificate in Project Management Program must be completed prior to being admitted to the M.S. in Project Management program at UW-Platteville. The certificate must be dated not more than three years before the date an application for admission is submitted.
3. Only these listed courses are acceptable to obtain transfer credit. Paired courses offered as five day programs are acceptable as substitutes for the individual courses listed below:
   Curriculum:
   1. Either of these two courses will be recognized:
      1. Project Management: Planning, Scheduling and Control
         ...OR...
         
      2. Project Management for IT
   2. Project Leadership Communication
   3. Managing Project Risks
   4. Either of these two courses will be recognized:
      1. Mastering Multiple Projects (before 2005)
         ...OR...
      2. Project Management Capstone (after 2003)
   5. [Negotiating and] Contracting with Project Service Providers
   6. Persuasion and Influence Skills for Project Manager
4. Completion of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Masters Certificate in Project Management Program equates to 6 graduate credits in the UW-Platteville M.S. in Project Management program, in the following manner:
   PROJMGT 7010 Project Management Techniques I (3 credits)
   PROJMGT 7020 Project Management Techniques II (3 credits)
   TOTAL 6 credits
5. The number of credits granted for life experience combined with transfer credits may not exceed 12.
