Campus Account Information
As a student of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville you have access to campus online resources. These include the password self-service tool, online library resources, campus netmail and associated campus email account, and the online advising sites.
UW-Platteville Acceptable Use Policy
Review the campus Acceptable Use Policy located at http://www.uwplatt.edu/go/aup. By using this account for the first time, you are agreeing to abide by the Acceptable Use Policy.
Password self-service
Students have the ability to change or retrieve their password from anywhere they have access to an internet connection. The Password Self-Service tool prompts users to enter answers for challenge questions, and then gives them the ability to retrieve or set their own password.
All first time passwords need to be reset. Follow the instructions on the Password Self Service page.

Using Netmail
The Netmail system is UW-Platteville's web-based email system. It is important for you to either check this on a regular basis, or set up mail forwarding to your home email address. Campus announcements come through this account. Official email from the Distance Learning Center will be sent to your email address on record. It is important that you inform us of any changes to your email address.

Off-campus Library Access
Library service to distance education students is parallel to the services provided to UW-Platteville students on campus. With your campus username and password You can access the main library resources from http://www.uwplatt.edu/library/. Once you are at the library homepage, click on "Distance Education Students". This link will give you a summary of how the library's resources can serve you at a distance. Please read through this information thoroughly before using the library system. This will also explain how to access reference librarians for answering your research questions.

Advising Resources
Advising resources are available to all degree seeking students. Once you have been accepted into a program and have an advisor you will be sent a campus username and password along with instructions on how to access your online advising site. Your advising site contains news and information regarding your program and is where you can pickup your grades and course plan. The advising site is located at https://uwplatt.courses.wisconsin.edu.
