Alumni Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • I'm ready to graduate. Do I have to do any paperwork?

Before receiving their diploma, students are required to pay a graduation fee and fill out an 'intent to graduate' form. Online students should notify their advisor of their intent to graduate approximately one month prior to their final semester. Print-based students should contact their advisor at least three months before their anticipated graduation date. Students wishing to participate in UWP's campus graduation ceremonies will be sent information regarding the purchase of their gown once their 'intent to graduate' form has been received.
  • How do I get a copy of my transcript?

Students may have an official transcript of their courses sent to employers or educational institutions by contacting the registrar's office in writing. There is a $5 fee for this service. UWP's registrar can be reached at 608.342.1321 or at registrar@uwplatt.edu.
  • Do you have alumni services?

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville has an active alumni department, which hosts trips and special events for all UWP alumni. In addition, distance alumni are invited to serve on the virtual Distance Education Alumni Advisory Board. A special website for distance alumni, which includes an alumni discussion board, can be viewed at www.uwplatt.edu/disted/alumni/.
