| May commencement will be held in the Pioneer Stadium on Saturday, May
6, 2000, at 2 p.m., weather permitting. No tickets are necessary
for commencement if it is held outdoors. You may invite all your
friends and relatives to attend.
In the event of inclement weather, commencement will be moved to the
Williams Fieldhouse, and tickets for guests will be necessary.
Three tickets are available for each graduate to give to guests in case
commencement is moved indoors. You may call the Registrar's Office
at 608.342.1321 to have the tickets mailed to you. After May 5th,
if the Registrar's Office has any extra tickets left, you may request additional
tickets.
Please make certain that you have taken care of the following:

Pay the $25.00 graduation fee and complete the graduation card.

Call the Registrar's Office to have your three tickets mailed to you. (You
should request the tickets if you plan to attend.)

Clear all financial obligations with the university. This includes Library,
Housing, Business Office, Ullsvik Center, Textbook Center, NDSL/Perkins
Loan Office, and Financial Aid Office.

Order your cap, tassel, and gown from the University Bookstore (608.342.1486).

Leave your correct mailing address for your grades and your diploma with
the Registrar's Office. (Please note that diplomas are not
given out at commencement. They are mailed in July.)
No practice will be held for commencement. All candidates will meet
on the west side of Pioneer Stadium on the blacktop area near the concessions
building at 1:00 p.m. If ceremonies are indoors, go to the track area of
the Williams Fieldhouse. If you are an honor graduate (3.50 or above GPA),
you may pick up your honor sash when you line up.
If you feel that you may have difficulty crossing the stage (climbing
stairs is involved), please call the Registrar's Office (608.342.1321)
to make special arrangements for the Chancellor to present your diploma
to you. Also, if you are afraid that your name will be mispronounced,
please call the Registrar's Office.
