COURSES CHANGE TITLES
Several
business courses have undergone title changes:
Acct
201-Elementary Accounting I is now called Financial Accounting
Acct
202-Elementary Accounting II is now called Management Accounting
Acct
300-Managerial Accounting is now called Accounting Issues for Managers
BUSINESS
MAJOR REQUIREMENT CHANGES
The
following requirement changes will affect only (1) new students whose first
enrollment plan and fees are received in the Distance Learning Center after
August 31, 2001, and (2) continuing/returning students who have not maintained
a current service agreement, and/or whose next enrollment plan and fees
are received in the Distance Learning Center after August 31, 2001.
Changes
to the business core including the following:
| BsAd
120-Introduction to American Business Enterprise (3 credits) is no longer
required in the business core. If students have taken or choose to
take this course, they may count it as an elective. |

| BsAd
130-Global Business (3 credits) will be required in the business core. |
|
| Comm
301-Business Communication (3 credits) will be required in the business
core. |
The
Business and Accounting Department has also made changes to the areas of
emphasis/concentration areas. Students should refer to our
web site for specific information on these changes.
SOOFI
JOINS DISTANCE LEARNING FACULTY
Beginning
July 1, Dr. Abdollah Soofi will replace John Adams as instructor for both
print and online versions of Economics 213-Principles of Macroeconomics
and Econ 223-Principles of Microeconomics. John Adams has retired
from UW-Platteville.
