SWACHE organizes and provides comprehensive education fairs at companies that promote continued education opportunities for their employees. Education fairs offer employees the opportunity to learn about member institutions and speak face-to-face with a representative from each school. SWACHE is also interested in presenting information to the general public about accredited, business-related higher education opportunities for working adults.

Membership in this consortium has allowed UW-Platteville to participate as a group in several successful events in the Madison area. In our first six months, we were present at education fairs at MATC, Viasys Nicolet, Unity Health Insurance, Cuna Mutual, Covance, and the Wisconsin Association of Black Public Sector Employees (WABPSE) Conference. Good camaraderie exists among the member schools.  We are aware of each other's program array,  and if we don't have a particular program that is right for the prospective student, we refer him or her to other SWACHE member institutions. 

SWACHE will have a table at the Farmers' Market in Madison and at events such as Celebrate Madison, Juneteenth, Africa Fest, and Triangle Fest.  We look forward to these summer events and the education fairs we have planned for the fall semester as a means to increase awareness of degree programs tailored to working adults.
