UW-Platteville is very interested in assisting your company in meeting its educational needs.  Please make time to meet with your employer to share your progress with taking courses at a distance through UW-Platteville.  We would also appreciate it if you would pass along the following information to the appropriate person at your place of work.

RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION

In today's competitive hiring environment, employee recruitment and retention does lie with the employer.  By offering your employees the opportunity to take courses at a distance, workers remain employed while becoming increasingly indispensable.

Does your organization want to:

Recruit talented employees?
Keep its most valued workers?
Motivate employees to adapt to change?
Encourage personal and professional development?
Retrain for new jobs within the company?

Whether your employees wish to complete a bachelor's or master's degree or to take courses to keep up with work demands, we believe we can help them achieve their educational and professional goals!  The following programs are available 100% at a distance; no campus visits are required:

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
Certificates in Business Administration
Master of Engineering
Certificates in Occupational Safety & Health
Master of Science in Project Management
Certificate in Project Management
Master of Science in Criminal Justice
Graduate Diploma in Criminal Justice

The undergraduate business courses are also available in a print-based format. Some programs offer credit for prior life and work experience.  Students at a distance earn the same degree as the students on-campus.  The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.

Benefits of a Corporate Contract with UW-Platteville's Distance Learning Degree Programs:

1. Design a corporate contract to meet your needs and the needs of your employees.
2.  Receive individualized attention by our customer service representatives in handling your contract.
3.  Customize a certificate program in Business and/or Project Management to meet the needs of your company.

The online courses are offered on a term basis--fall, spring, and summer--and are accessed through an Internet browser.  The courses, which vary in length, provide a highly interactive, discussion-based learning environment.  Registration for Summer 2001 online courses will be taken until the first week in May; registration for Fall 2001 online courses will be taken until the first week in August.

The print-based undergraduate business courses offer individualized scheduling with opportunities to enroll occurring any working day of the month.  Students receive a faculty-written course manual which is a supplement to the course textbook.  The course manual contains everything needed to work through the course.  The print-based courses allow up to one year for completion.
