UW-Platteville

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Preston Zhang. I am an
information processing consultant for the UW-Platteville Distance Learning Center (DLC).

I am from Salt Lake City, Utah. I am responsible for the DLC's new web site and computer software/hardware trouble shooting for DLC's staff members.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Shanghai University, China, in 1983 and studied Computer Science at the University of Tennessee from 1995 to 1997.

I have more than 10 years' computer experience in web application development, computer programming, and computer support. I formerly worked as a UNIX system engineer for a Japanese computer company in Tokyo. I also worked as a system analyst for Intermountain Health Care in Salt Lake City.  Before joining the UW-Platteville Distance Learning Center staff, I was a senior application developer for Information Technology International.

I am very glad that I have this opportunity to work for the DLC and all the distance learning students. I believe that distance learning has a bright future.
