The
Distance Learning Center is pleased to announce the hiring of Susan Fager
in the full-time position of information processing consultant. Since July
2000, Fager has been working in the Distance Learning Center in a part-time
information technology position.
Fager hails from Montfort,
Wisconsin. She earned an Associate's degree as a microcomputer specialist
from Southwest Wisconsin Technical College and a Bachelor of Science in
Communication Technologies Management from UW-Platteville.
As information processing
consultant for the Distance Learning Center, Fager's responsibilities will
include developing and maintaining the distance learning web site, managing
email, and providing general IT support to the staff.
Since joining the staff,
Fager has witnessed the opportunities that distance education offers to
adult learners.
"I feel that distance education
is an ideal way for non-traditional students to reach their educational
goals while maintaining their current lifestyles," said Fager. "I hope
through my efforts with the distance learning web site, I can enrich students'
learning experience."
If you have questions or
suggestions about the web site, please email
Fager. She would love to hear what you think about the web site.
