| Course Description: | Project scope management includes the processes required to ensure that the project includes all the work required, and only the work required, to complete the project successfully. Defining scope ensures the successful management of other key project management areas, including time, cost, and quality, since it is the foundation upon which the schedule, the budget, the resource plan, and the overall project management plan, are prepared. Topics include scope management planning, scope definition, work breakdown structures, scope verification, and scope change control. |

- Obtain formal acceptance of project scope from stakeholders
- Establish a configuration management system
- Manage the changes that occur on projects effectively

Importance of project scope management to project management success, importance of scope management planning, and project scope & product scope
Unit 2:
Requirements analysis and definition, and scope statement
Unit 3:
WBS and WBS Dictionary
Unit 4:
Importance of project scope verification, inspection - the tool and technique, and accepted deliverables
Unit 5:
Importance of project scope control, change control system, and configuration management
