Get Educated, which screens accredited distance degree-granting universities and publishes the Best Distance Learning Graduate and Best Distance Learning Undergraduate Guidebooks, has awarded several of UW-Platteville's programs a 'Best Buy' designation. This indicates a program that offers high quality distance degrees to a national audience at tuition and fees well below the national average.

Project Management Institute
UW-Platteville's Master of Science in Project Management is one of fewer than 25 programs worldwide that is globally accredited by Project Management Institute®. UW-Platteville has also been a Global Registered Education Provider of the Project Management Institute since 2001. In addition, students from UW-Platteville have won several PMI awards, attesting to the quality of the students and the hands-on mentoring from faculty.

UW-Platteville was designated by G.I. Jobs magazine as a Military Friendly School for the 2011-2012 academic year. Only 15% of educational institutions in the United States receivethis honor.

University of Wisconsin-Platteville was selected as a top school in Military Advanced Education’s 2013 Guide to America’s Top Military-Friendly Colleges & Universities.
Best of Wisconsin
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville and its Distance Learning Center earned a platinum (first place) award and was named, for the third year in a row, the 2012 Best School for Online Education by Corporate Report Wisconsin. More than 2,600 voters chose three winners in 30 separate categories. From those top three, the organization receiving the most votes in its respective category earned the Platinum Award.
