Peters is an assistant professor of mathematics at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Prior to working at UW-Platteville, she was simultaneously a graduate teaching assistant for seven years at Colorado State University and an adjunct instructor in the department of mathematics at Front Range Community College. She served in the United States Air Force for 24 years, including a tour of duty as an assistant professor of mathematics at the United States Air Force Academy from 1982-1986.
Peters has also taught as an adjunct instructor at Pike's Peak Community College, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University (extension), and University of Maryland (European Division).
She is a member of the Mathematics Association of America and the Association of Women in Mathematics.
Peters lives in an enormous house in Platteville with a perky, perverse cocker spaniel named Bailey. Her pastimes include running, biking, skiing, hiking, quilting, and reading, and yes, she reads math books for fun. She is very excited to be joining distance education and looks forward to working with place-bound students.
