Nemmetz is an instructor for the University of Wisconsin-Platteville's criminal justice department. Previously, Nemmetz worked with UW-Platteville Police as a Community Officer, Platteville Police Department as a Dispatcher & 911 Telecommunicator, and completed an internship with Probation & Parole while working on her undergraduate degree. She has also worked for Dane County Court’s jail diversion programs, a juvenile group home, and Dane County Human Services Child Protection.
In addition to working with UW-Platteville, Nemmetz is also a Quality Service Reviewer for the State of Wisconsin which entails reviewing Child Protection Access/Intake cases. Nemmetz obtained her Social Work license from the State of Wisconsin.
Nemmetz and her husband, Pete, enjoy the adventures their toddler Amelia brings to their lives. Amelia reminds the family that there will always be time to "do the dishes later!" In addition to spending time at the playground and pool, the Nemmetz family tries to take an annual family vacation. Their favorite destination is the Miya Riveria in Mexico, where they enjoy the white sand, ocean snorkeling, and Spanish culture.
