Professional Experience
Mela has over 15 years teaching experience in higher education working for universities, community colleges, and other institutes both in the United States and abroad.

Mela has over 15 years teaching experience in higher education working for universities, community colleges, and other institutes both in the United States and abroad.
As a team leader and instructor, she has coordinated coursework development and delivery for face-to-face, online learning environments and hybrid courses. She has served as a consultant in the development and delivery of specialty courses for the public and private sector.

Currently, serving in the English Language Program at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, she supports the development and delivery of ESL courses integrating educational technology and communication tools into the curriculum and emphasizing international collaboration for the advancement of higher education.
