New and improved for 2014-15!
As part of our efforts to continuously improve the student experience, we’ve updated, revised and added new features to our website, the PASS system and more.
Students who are familiar with our website will notice a brand new look for the Student Resources page. Visit this one-stop shop to find information on technology, courses and registration, and other resources. Or, if you have a question and don’t quite know where to look, try reviewing our FAQ’s for added guidance.
UW-Platt e-mail accounts will be getting a new look as well. During the 2014-2015 academic year, UW-Platteville will be moving to a new e-mail client, Microsoft Office 365. Students’ existing Zimbra accounts will be transitioned automatically to Office 365. You may find more information about this transition on our website, or contact the helpdesk at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
This year also saw the implementation of PASS Express. The Pass Express update not only made the system more mobile friendly, but also allows you to search for courses, view your grades, pay your bill and much more. Android and Apple users can download the new UW-Platteville application free from Google Play or the App Store.
Another PASS improvement is the new guest access option. With a student’s approval, a third party can use guest access to view your grades, pay bills, and more. This access can be granted, updated or revoked at any time using PASS or PASS Express.
Many of these improvements stem from student feedback. A student services survey was sent out over the summer and we owe a big ‘thank you!’ to everyone who participated. We have reviewed the responses and they will serve as a basis for continued improvement efforts. This survey, as well as any student feedback, is an important part of determining the needs of our students. If you didn’t have a chance to complete the survey and would like to share comments or suggestions with us, please send them to email@example.com.
