In keeping with our program’s commitment to diversity and social justice we began an annual multicultural and service learning trip. In the past two years students and faculty visited Chicago and Minneapolis. Our students were able to volunteer at a homeless shelter for women and they also attended several multicultural activities such as the National Mexican-American Museum of Art, Hmong Cultural Center, Chinese Festival, and Asian market. Next year we are planning a week-long trip to Albuquerque, NM, to learn about and work with a Native American reservation. Finally, we are also in the process of developing an international cultural trip which will occur every two years. We encourage you to view the pictures below from our past trips!
