Essential to being effective as a director and operating a high quality child care center is the quality and scope of your leadership skills. The Leadership Credential allows you to explore the concept of leadership in child care and hone these leadership skills. You need not be a center director now (quality instructors, for example, also need to develop their leadership skills) to take this credential, but you should have completed one of the earlier credentials or have a degree.
To earn the Professional Leadership Credential, you must complete the following four, three-credit classes.
- Course One: The Personal Disposition of a Leader
- Course Two: Leading in Your Program
- Course Three: Leading In Your Community and the Field
- Course Four: Capstone Course - Leading For Change
