Southwest Hall will house most of our adult camps or conferences throughout the summer. Southwest Hall, the newest residence hall, is a six story suite style building with the capacity of 380 people in 95 four person suites. Each suite has four individual bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room and kitchenette. The building is air conditioned, has elevator access to all floors, and has common areas such as a laundry room, programming area, community room, and Main Desk.
The Jerry & Fran Cooper Living & Learning Center is a retreat center located at the University's Pioneer Farm seven miles southeast of UW-Platteville.
The facility is an ideal location for groups to use for teambuilding and conferences that require overnight accommodations. The Cooper Living & Learning Center is also used for short-term lodging for visitors such as visiting faculty and staff, researchers involved with Pioneer Farm and the Wisconsin Agricultural Stewardship Initiative, and those looking for convenient lodging when hotels in the area have filled up for special events.
There are six suites with two bedrooms per suite; each suite has its own bathroom. Bedrooms are private with two sets of bunk beds in eight of the bedrooms and two single beds in four of the bedrooms, for a maximum capacity of 40 overnight guests. Linens are provided. There is also a lounge, meeting room, a large furnished kitchen for preparing meals, and recreation areas (volleyball, horseshoes, campfire counsel, bikes, board games).
Please see the Cooper Living Learning Center website to make arrangements.
