General Information

Continuing Education offers non-credit community programs which consist of workshops, training and classes. Non-credit programs are offered to enrich the lives of adults and young learners throughout the tri-state area. Summer camps and swim lessons are offered for youth while fitness, computer training, teleparenting, and personal enrichment classes are offered for adults. Our class offerings change from semester to semester. Our goal is to provide quality enrichment activities for all ages in the tri-state area.

Cancellations

In case of bad weather, classes may be canceled. Listen to your local radio station for details.

Computer

Get a firm grounding in computer basics before moving on to specific computer applications. Sign up for one or all classes - depending on your needs. Skills taught provide the building blocks to help you succeed in the beginning and advanced classes. The computer literacy skills you develop will help "demystify" the world of computers for you!

Enrichment

Looking for a new learning experience? Hoping to find a new hobby? Ready to start a new project? Sign up for one or more of our enrichment classes, drawing, painting, playful art, photography, legal issues, stress reduction, and more.

Fitness

What are your fitness goals? To lose weight? Increase your flexibility? Establish a routine? Maintain a healthy lifestyle? From high/low impact to toning and aerobics in the water, there are several classes to choose from to help you meet your goals.

Parking

Parking for classes held on the UW-Platteville campus during the daytime hours is available on the streets or at metered spots. People with UW-Platteville commuter permits may park in commuter lots. Parking for evening classes is available on the streets, or in commuter or staff lots after 4 pm.

Photo Release Information

I understand that the university may take photographs and/or videotapes of participants and activities. I agree that the University of Wisconsin-Platteville shall be owners of and may use such photographs and/or videotapes relating to the promotion of future programs. I relinquish all rights that I may claim in relation to the use of photographs and/or videotapes.

Refund Policy

Refunds, less a $10 administrative fee, will be given 7 working days prior to the start of class. After that time period you may choose to transfer your full payment to another class; notification must be during office hours between 7:45 am- 4:15 pm. Transferred fees must be used by end of the current fiscal year (June 30th). No refunds will be given after a class has started or already taken place. We reserve the right to cancel a course due to insufficient enrollment; in this case, a full refund will be given.
