Description: Fri & Sat, Oct 3 & 4, 2008; Fri, 4:30 - 9:30 pm; Sat, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Designed for teachers, support staff, and all other educational professionals who have encountered difficult people in the educational work place. Using the conceptual framework developed by Florence and Marita Littauer, participants will learn about the strengths and weaknesses of the choleric, the phlegmatic the melancholy and the sanguine personality. Along with being able to identify the emotional needs of the four personalities, school personnel will demonstrate an understanding of each personality and identify ways to work with co-workers in their classroom. They will also display knowledge of how to apply this information to create learning environment that encourages positive interaction between their co-workers.

Designed for teachers, support staff, and all other educational professionals, community service personnel and counselors to aid in identification of persons at risk for suicide. Using the latest dated information on facts and myths of suicide, experiential exercises and the intervention process, participants will be able to identify and assist in the identification and intervention process for the prevention of suicide. Participants will also display knowledge of how to apply this information to create a community networking system for the prevention and intervention of suicide.
