Description: Tue, Oct 20, 2009 workshop-8:00 am - 4:00 pm; LOCATION: Mineral Point; Dec 1, 2009, implementation-5:00 -7:00 pm; LOCATION: Fennimore. INSTRUCTOR: Pluemer. This course is designed for educators who desire to improve teaching strategies while focusing on ways that businesses and schools can work together to achieve student, community, and national success. The Southwest Wisconsin Business and Education Summit will feature Jamie Vollmer who is a friend of public education, an inspiring presenter, and a former businessman and attorney. He is also the author of many videos. The implementation plan will provide an opportunity for participants to implement ideas obtained from the workshop in their classrooms, determine their usefulness, and evaluate their effectiveness with their students. As a follow-up to the workshop, participants will meet to discuss the content they implemented, procedures they used, and their evaluation of its effectiveness.
