It examines and identifies the rules and regulations governing group child care for school age children and the responsibilities of the providers. This course focuses on the skills and strategies that the school-age child care teacher needs to select and plan developmentally appropriate activities. Emphasis is placed on engaging children in hands-on experiential learning and the development of caring and trusting relationships between staff and children.
