Description: Fri & Sat, Oct 10 & 11, 2008; 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Designed for teachers, administrators, educational professionals and community and social service personnel. There are amazing similarities between horses and us. You will use observation of equine animal behavior and find a specific horse that reminds you of your classroom, school system, group or client base. You will identify specific issues relating to your choice of horse. Experiential exercises using the horses will address the issues presented. Observations are key steps and ingredients to understanding behavior both of the horses reactions and the participant's interaction. These observations will metaphorically bridge classroom behaviors, school systems and lifestyles. The more the participant uses peripheral vision, like the horse, the greater the learning experience.
