Description: Fri - Sun, Oct 10 - 12, 2008; Fri 4:00 - 9:00 pm, Sat 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Sun 8:00 am - 12:00 noon. Out-of-State tuition waived for this Living History class. This class is a 2-1/2 day immersion into a soldier's (or civilians) life during the Civil War through participation in a reenactment. You will be furnished with a uniform and will take part in as much of camp life as possible. You will have the opportunity to dance at the Military Ball, attend demonstrations and talks on camp craft, shop at the suttlers, sing around the camp fire with concertina accompaniment, watch and participate in live cannon, mortar, and musket fire, participate in church and or cemetery ceremonies, and participate in a Civil War battle. Students check in on Friday night, reenact all day Saturday and part of Sunday. Students are dismissed after tear down.
