Description: Fri & Sat, Nov 20 & 21, 2009; Fri, 4:30 - 9:30 pm; Sat, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. LOCATION: Dodgeville; INSTRUCTOR: Panyard Schultz. Registration fee includes materials fee of $12.00. This course is designed for all teachers, support staff, and other educational professional trying to raise standardized test scores. Using the conceptual frame work developed by Ron Clark to educate, inspire and motivate children, participants will learn techniques to develop group motivation and create a learning environment encouraging positive social interaction and self motivation. You will learn how pupils differ in approaching learning and the barriers impeding learning. Observe how others have adapted instruction to meet the diverse needs of their pupils, including those with disabilities, to raise test scores.

Description: Mon, Nov 23 - Dec 31, 2009; LOCATION: Dodgeville; INSTRUCTOR: Panyard Schultz. Upon completion of Reach for the stars, the participants will develop a plan to implement 'Ron Clark's Excellent 11 Qualities' discussed in class. Part of the plan requires teachers to complete a self-evaluation checklist. During this procedure the participant will analyze their own teaching method to identify the qualities they implement verses the qualities they need to enhance. After a plan is developed it will be implemented in their classrooms. Then the participants will report the results. The teacher/educational staff member will be expected to describe their experiences they encountered while implementing the plan.
