The Center on the Social Emotional Foundation of Early Learning’s (CSEFEL) Pyramid Model for Supporting Social and Emotional Competence is an evidence-based framework for promoting all young children’s social emotional development as well as preventing and addressing challenging behavior. The training will offer an introduction to the tiers of the Pyramid – Effective Workforce, Nurturing and Responsive Relationships, High Quality Environments, Targeted Social Emotional Supports, and Intensive Intervention , the research supporting this framework, and the key components of program implementation.
Coursework is designed to address the basic competencies to implement each tier and allows opportunity for participants to reflect on their learning environments and current practices, and to action plan to improve those environments and practices.
We’ve planned the course of study for the Pyramid Model Training with your schedule in mind. The course is entirely web-based. You won’t have to get into your car and make the drive to the UW-Platteville to attend a single class. You will receive face-to-face instruction in the comfort and privacy of your own home from our website. To take advantage of this state-of-the-art learning technology you must either have, or have access to, a DSL telephone line (or other high-speed internet connection), and a webcam.
