Bachelor’s Degree in Community Education
with Submajor in Child Care

University of Wisconsin-Platteville Office of Continuing Education students who have successfully completed the Child Care Administrator Credential are invited to explore this opportunity.

When you complete the Administrator Credential at UW-Platteville, you have earned 18 UW-Platteville credits.  Those credits will transfer to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM), towards the Community Engagement & Education (CEED) major with a sub-major in Child Care.  This major is offered through the UWM Department of Educational Policy & Community Studies
(ED POL).

You must contact the Center for Early Childhood Professional Development and Leadership, School of Continuing Education, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee to have the credits accepted from your Administrator Credential. Please contact Shari Vinluan - Program Director, CECPDL.

You will also need to apply to UWM as a degree candidate.  Once you have been admitted to the Community Engagement & Education (CEED) degree program, you are eligible to demonstrate competency and earn lower division, elective credit for Prior Professional Education Experiences (PPEE).
