  chancellor.jpg - Stefan Anderson (The Conserve School), David Van Buren (UWP Associate Vice Chancellor & Dean of Graduate Studies), Lorrie Keating Heinemann (Secretary, Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions, Governor Jim Doyle, and Barbara Daus (UWP Special Assistant to the Chancellor & Executive Director of International Programs) were on hand for the signing ceremony to establish a Confucius Institute at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Dr. David Markee, UWP Chancellor, and Mr. Zhao Guocheng, Deputy Director General of the Office of Chinese Language Council International (Hanban) signed the official agreement in Beijing at the Office of the Ministry of Education on Monday, September 17, 2007.
