Before applying to UW-Platteville, students should contact LeAnn Leahy, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 608.342.6124 since several factors determine which semester a student should apply to UW-Platteville (e.g., the student’s chosen major, which specific courses have been completed, and which courses will be available during the upcoming semester).
All applications receive a comprehensive review. Academic preparation is the primary criteria used in the admissions review process. Transfer students are likely to be admitted if they have a cumulative grade point average (C.G.P.A.) of 2.00 or higher in college transfer courses and are in good standing at the institution they are currently attending or have attended.
Applicants must have twelve or more transferable credits from an accredited institution to be considered for admission as a transfer student. Applicants with fewer than twelve credits must meet the admission requirements for new freshmen.
Upon admittance to UW-Platteville, an official transfer credit evaluation of the student’s previous coursework is conducted; and, upon completion, a transfer summary report is sent to the student.
Once a student has been advised to apply to UW-Platteville, it is recommended that the student BEGIN the application process any time BEFORE May 1 for the fall semester or September 1 for the spring semester since it sometimes takes several months for official transcripts to be rceived by UW-Platteville.
