Facilities

In 2009 we moved into the newly built Engineering Hall. The facilities include a state-of-the-art optics lab, sensors lab (with high-end electronics instrumentation), a Modern Physics lab, and two computer/student workspace labs. Lastly, we have our very own electronics and wood/metal machine shop that are accessible to students in order to support the multitude of projects throughout the year.

Sensors Lab: No other area of technology exemplifies Engineering Physics more than sensors. Sensors are the heart of the interface between mechanical and electrical engineering in that they are devices that use electrical signals to understand and control mechanical systems. This lab space, which is available to upperclassmen EPs after business hours, enables students to take on a variety of projects involving the design and use of sensors.
