General information

Welcome to UW-Madison GenChem Pages, a set of World Wide Web documents constructed for use in conjunction with coursework in the General Chemistry wetlab. This system provides descriptions for procedures and concepts involved in related laboratory work.

When viewing a document, you can scroll through it by clicking the mouse on the scrollbar and arrows at the right. Lab modules have an index containing several linked section names which jump directly to their section of the document. Icons and/or Web browser buttons (noted below) may also be used to move around.

To move between different locations, point to a section of text or an image that's linked to another item of information. Links are generally highlighted in a different color, and text links are underlined. When the mouse pointer is over a linked item, the cursor changes from an arrow to a hand. Links can take you to other pages, another part of the same page, or alternately transfer/display other media such as digital videos.
