Filtering the Solution
Allow the precipitate to settle to the bottom of the flask.
Decant the liquid into the fluted filter paper, being careful
not to let the liquid level rise beyond the lip of the funnel.
Scrape as much solid into the filter paper as possible. For a
quantitative transfer, rinse the flask with a small amount of
the same solvent from which the solid was precipitated and pour
the contents of the flask into the funnel.
