Project Overview

The łGLAD˛ (Green Lake Academic Development) team will develop an environmental education curriculum for a three day overnight experience for sixth grade students at the Green Lake Baptist Assembly at Green Lake, Wisconsin. Curriculum topics will include: orienteering, ornithology, lymnology, wildlife, botany, art, geology, team building, microbiology, and Native American culture. The GLAD team will also plan and implement an inservice program for instructors who will be participating in the Green Lake program.

The successful implementation of this project will ensure that all of the Neenah sixth grade students will have the opportunity to participate in a comprehensive environmental education experience and that all instructors are provided with the information and materials that they need. The new curriculum will ensure a consistent approach to teaching each of the ten Green Lake curriculum topics.
