Visit or obtain information from other schools using scheduling techniques we might utilize.
Schedule common team planning time.
The following items will start in the fall of 1998 but be on-going during the course of the project.
Team investigation and utilization of interdisciplinary units.
Platteville Seminar Team monthly meetings.
Evaluate project and the resulting changes on a regular basis.
Winter 1998-1999
Inform Board of Education of Project progress and direction. Obtain feedback.
Inform staff of progress and direction of project. Obtain feedback.
Finalize schedule and seek approval.
Staff inservice on alternative strategies to enhance student learning utilizing the flexible block schedule.
Spring 1999
Inform Board of Education of Project progress and direction. Obtain feedback.
Inform staff of progress and direction of project. Obtain feedback.
Develop a transitional plan to pilot some phases of a flexible schedule on a limited basis.
Provide information to the community about flexible scheduling through newspapers, forums, meetings and other media.
Summer 1999
Inform Board of Education of Project progress and direction. Obtain feedback.
Inform staff of progress and direction of project. Obtain feedback.
Further develop project with a Platteville Seminar Team in Platteville.
Address final problems or concerns prior to fall implementation.
Fall 1999
Implement Flexible Schedule developed for Albany Middle School.
Evaluate, report, obtain feedback, amend or modify as needed on a regular basis.
Winter 1999-2000
Evaluate, report, obtain feedback, amend or modify as needed on a regular basis.
Spring 2000
Evaluate, report, obtain feedback, amend or modify as needed on a regular basis.
Summer 2000
Evaluate, report, obtain feedback, amend or modify as needed on a regular basis.
Platteville team investigates further modifications to enhance student outcomes.
